Scented Discs

Want to take your marketing to the next level? What better way to get your clients involved in your campaign, product or service than giving them a motivating smell on the disc that also delivers your message via a video program? Your scent of choice is placed on the surface of your disc mixed with the printing. Old technology allowed the smell to emit continually. Eventually the recipient became tired of the smell filling their home, office or car and threw it away. Today, the scent is activated by rubbing the surface with you fingers, emitting a fresh clean aroma. The scent dissipates in less than three minutes. The larger the surface of your disk, generally the more intense the fragrance.

Integrating scent into a DVD or CD increases consumer awareness of a particular product and stimulates purchase activity by incorporating “smell” into the marketing item. Scented disc printing increases the impact, value, recall, and effectiveness of any marketing campaign. The scented varnish is transparent and remains dormant until the printed surface is rubbed and it lasts for years in printed form.

Imagine receiving a DVD or CD Scented Disc in your favorite magazine from a perfume company that once opened, the you can rub the disc and then enjoy the smell or scent of the product being marketed! A florist can actually create a DVD or CD that actually smells like flowers! We do not manufacture fragrance oils, but to assist customers who don't have their own fragrance stock scents, We have relationships with fragrance oil manufacturers who have expansive libraries of scents that can meet most needs.

Virtually any fragrance can be encapsulated and made into Rub'n Smell scented varnish. Customers can supply their own fragrance oils or we can assist in sourcing or developing a specific fragrance upon request.

Customer Supplied Oils:

In cases where clients provide their own fragrance oils for encapsulation we request that the fragrance oils be prepared with the following criteria:

• Made with little to no water soluble materials
• Contain no alcohol or emulsifiers
• Have a boiling point above 100¡ Celsius
• Be accompanied with a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)

The minimum amount of oil that can be encapsulated is 1 kg of oil (2.2 lb.)
